Tippmann Sports is proud to announce its plans to open a Customer Service Center in Merchtem, Belgium – a small community located just north of Brussels. The new center, expected to open in October of this year, will help the company provide better after-sale service and support to its customer base throughout Europe. The space Tippmann will occupy is being leased from National Paintball Games.
“Creating a European service presence is something we’ve considered for years,” said Howard Kosick, President and CEO for Tippmann. “The tremendous growth we’ve experienced in Europe over the past four years, along with our expanded product offering, has made it necessary for Tippmann to provide a higher level of service to the thousands of consumers who use our products.” Kosick added, “Merchtem was selected because it offers an ideal, centralized location where we can service the entire European market. Plus, NPG provided us with a great facility that’s ready-to-go.”
The Center will stock a full selection of Tippmann parts and some inventory of key Tippmann markers and accessories. Tippmann is currently searching for a facilities manager; an experienced service technician has already been hired and is relocating to the new facility. Brent Cunningham, Director of International Sales, stated “this facility will provide us with the ability to get warranty parts to paintball dealers and consumers much faster. We understand that – for a paintball player – an inoperable marker can be extremely frustrating. In the States, we take great pride in our ability to return repaired markers back to their rightful owners within 48 hours of receipt. And, there’s really no reason we can’t establish the same type of service model here in Europe – that’s certainly one of our goals.” Cunningham added, “Our ability to store a limited amount of inventory at this facility will also provide our customers with the ability to get key items quickly and avoid higher inventory costs or worse, a lost sale.”
